Petten\u00f2 (flameeyes) we&#8217;ve got some updated initscripts that are a good deal cleaner.<\/p>\n<p>I did experience one inexplicable hiccup where it wouldn&#8217;t stop the server. If you run into that, just do:<\/p>\n<pre>kill -SIGINT $(head -n1 ${DATA_DIR}\/postmaster.pid)<\/pre>\n<p>Where <tt>${DATA_DIR}<\/tt> is the data directory for PostgreSQL server. (Usually, <tt>\/var\/lib\/postgresql\/$SLOT\/data\/<\/tt>.)<\/p>\n<p>There have been a couple of fixes regarding Perl, most notably <a title=\"dev-db\/postgresql-server-9.0.4-r2[perl] fails to build because of mismatch of ExtUtils::ParseXS\" href=\"https:\/\/bugs.gentoo.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=378865\">bug 378865<\/a> (bugs.gentoo.org).<\/p>\n<p>Find all the changes at the <a title=\"PostgreSQL 2011-12-05 Cumulative Bug-Fix Release\" href=\"http:\/\/www.postgresql.org\/about\/news\/1366\/\">official post<\/a>.
