It’s been a while since I last posted, but I’m finally managing to get some time for Gentoo dev work again. Fortunately due to the amount of time I’ve delayed other people have been busily working away on the crypto stuff and now with relatively few changes and some testing I was able to integrate their work. Funny you should mention Gentoo and Cryptography. I’m preparing to setup a full root encrypted Gentoo system using LUKS and LVM2. I’ll be submitted a patch to the genkernel team for a saner method of handling an encrypted root partition. For instance having the option crypt_root=* be passed in, along with others for non-LUKS partitions.
