{"id":133,"date":"2006-09-20T16:51:13","date_gmt":"2006-09-20T16:51:13","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2006-09-20T16:51:13","modified_gmt":"2006-09-20T16:51:13","slug":"alternative_fuels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gentoo.org\/seemant\/2006\/09\/20\/alternative_fuels\/","title":{"rendered":"Alternative Fuels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back in the first quarter of this year, my wife and I purchased a <a href=\"http:\/\/priusonline.com\/viewtopic.php?t=2251&amp;sid=94595fcdd818669ad1b8688c34e8c487\">second hand hybrid<\/a>, because her old car died.  Now, we&#8217;ve been very impressed with the gas mileage we&#8217;re getting in that car &#8212; so naturally we drive that one more.  While I&#8217;m not financially ready to replace my car just yet, I&#8217;m definitely keeping my eyes open for either a <a href=\"http:\/\/automobiles.honda.com\/models\/model_overview.asp?ModelName=Insight\">commuter hybrid<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/cars.about.com\/cs\/smallsedan1\/fr\/Jettawgn_test.htm\">something<\/a> that <a href=\"http:\/\/stupac2.blogspot.com\/2006\/09\/new-form-of-biodiesel-created.html\">runs<\/a> on a slightly <a href=\"http:\/\/greasecar.com\/\">exotic<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goldenfuelsystems.com\/\">fuel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just a gas price thing for me, though.  I&#8217;ve had my <a href=\"http:\/\/subarusvx.com\">SVX<\/a> for about 6 years, and I think I&#8217;ve grown out of it.  Before my Suby, I had a <a href=\"http:\/\/vikingautobrokers.com\/photos\/inventory\/1989_volvo_740_turbo_wagon\/DSCN5973.JPG\">station wagon<\/a>, which really worked for me.  So I think in the coming year I&#8217;m on the hunt for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edmunds.com\/media\/reviews\/top10\/fuel.efficient.nonhybrid\/vw.golf.tdi.500.jpg\">Golf<\/a> or a <a href=\"http:\/\/car-reviews.automobile.com\/images\/cars\/ArtImages\/31675\/alt02.jpg\">Passat<\/a> or worst-case, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadiandriver.com\/testdrives\/images\/03jetta_tdi3.jpg\">Jetta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, the whole idea of running on biodiesel or better yet, grease and waste vegetable oil is very appealing to me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back in the first quarter of this year, my wife and I purchased a second hand hybrid, because her old car died.
