The list of issues you may have hit include packages failing to build by not finding mysql.h, failing to link by not finding -lmysqld, getting an error for missing mysql user and or group or if you used the overlay in between the initial error and the final resolution, failing to apply patch 07110.<\/p>\n<p>The list of bugs that have been fixed by the revbump include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.gentoo.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=375063\">=dev-db\/mysql-5.1.58: bad include and lib dir *\/mysql\/mysql, no patches applied<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.gentoo.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=375273\">media-sound\/amarok-2.4.1.90 compilation fails &#8211; cannot find -lmysqld<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.gentoo.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=375705\">emerge dev-db\/mysql-5.1.58 does not create &#8216;mysql&#8217; account because mysql-v2.eclass is missing pkg_setup in EXPORT_FUNCTIONS<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bugs.gentoo.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=375765\">emerge &#8211;config mysql-5.1.58 fails with new mysql-v2.eclass<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This should all be fixed now. If you hit any of these issues again, please reopen the respective bugs and or poke me about it.<\/p>\n<p>My apologies for this &#8220;mess&#8221;, but this was the first release using the new eclasses,<strong> mysql-v2<\/strong> and <strong>mysql-autotools<\/strong> to be put in the tree.<\/p>\n<p>This means we&#8217;re getting little testing from the community on the ebuilds in the <a href=\"http:\/\/git.overlays.gentoo.org\/gitweb\/?p=proj\/mysql.git;a=summary\"><em>mysql overlay<\/em><\/a>.
