{"id":13,"date":"2007-01-20T14:34:11","date_gmt":"2007-01-18T22:01:03","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-03-07T16:22:46","modified_gmt":"2017-03-07T16:22:46","slug":"more_elog_goodness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.gentoo.org\/genone\/2007\/01\/20\/more_elog_goodness\/","title":{"rendered":"more elog goodness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After venting about annoying users last week I&#8217;ll try to post something a bit more useful today, maybe this will even evolve into a series about what&#8217;s new in portage land.<\/p>\n<p>Well, today I added a little extension to the elog subsystem to make multi-target logging a bit more useful by extending the <em>PORTAGE_ELOG_SYSTEM<\/em> syntax a bit. Now you can override <em>PORTAGE_ELOG_CLASSES<\/em> per module, so for example one might send all messages into a file (using the <em>save-summary<\/em> module added in 2.1.2) and additionally send the important ones also by mail.
