I no longer have the compiz-fusion meta package, so if you want to use the set but don't want emerald, the solution is pretty simple:<br /> <ol> <li>copy compiz-fusion or compiz-fusion-complete to /etc/portage/sets</li> <li>edit the file and remove the emerald deps</li> <li>emerge compiz-fusion or compiz-fusion-complete set and *profit* 8)</li> </ol> I just took another look at the overlay and emerald gets installed by the set.
